Tarányi is an organically cultivated vineyard on the southern slope of Szent György-hegy, an extinct volcano, north of Lake Balaton in Western Hungary. The vines are 50 years old. The Riesling (Rajnai Rizling) grapes are hand picked, and the wine is spontaneous fermented with native yeasts. Aged for 7 months on fine lees in 500 L Hungarian oak. Strong minerality and powerful acidity, with flavors like passion fruit and lemongrass. Rough filtration, organic farming.
