TR Tállya Radicals

SZÁRAZ SZAMORODNI

2020

TR Tállya Radicals are a group of friends passionate about Tokaj who decided to create a winery together in the village of Tállya in 2012. With the goal of highlighting the beautiful dry and sweet wines of Furmint and Hárslevelű, they have been working organically since the beginning. They describe themselves as part of the new Tokaji generation, making wines with vigor, unafraid of experimentation, with fresher, lighter tones.

This is a classic and rare style of Tokaji wine, where a wine with botrytis is fermented into a dry wine. Grapes with a very high botrytis content but relatively low sugar levels were harvested by hand at the end of November. Whole bunches were pressed gently, and the lengthy fermentation was spontaneous with native yeasts in 300 L Hungarian oak. The wine was then aged in used 300 L Hungarian (Kádár) oak barrels for 30 months.

Honey, apricot and quince on the nose, with green walnuts, mushrooms and tobacco on the palate. Powerful, aromatic and nutty.
