Malatinszky Kúria

NOBLESSE CABERNET FRANC

2016

Csaba Malatinszky was a major force in the revitalization of the Villány wine region in the 1990s, after the fall of communism. The region is now world-famous for its Cabernet Francs, and Malatinszky's "Noblesse" estate selection from 2016 is a great example of the variety.

Deep ruby color. Violets and plum jam dominate on the nose, with cedar and coffee. Red strawberries and raspberries, white pepper and rosewater on the palate. Clean, vividly powerful, and silky. Tannic and rich. Made from free run juice only. Fermentation with native yeasts, and aged in new and second-use 500 L Hungarian oak for 12 months. Unfiltered and unfined, certified organic and vegan.
